Yevgeniy Bunimovich

Mr Bunimovich is a lecturer, poet, chairman of the Moscow Duma’s education committee, and a member of the PEN Centre’s executive committee. He is a member of the presidium of the Federal Expert Council on Education. He is the initiator and president of the Moscow International Bienniale of Poets. Author of books of poetry published in Russia, France and the USA, and also of several school textbooks of a new generation.

Andrei Golovnev

Mr Golovnev is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and holds a doctorate in historical sciences. He is a professor, and is the chief researcher in the Institute of History and Archaeology at the Urals Branch of the Academy of Sciences. He is the director of the Ethnographic Bureau, and President of the Russian Festival of Anthropological Films and of the Nomadic North Film Festival. Head of the Russian Northern Research Forum. Member of the Coordinating Committee of the International Northern Research Forum. Member of the Coordinating Council for the Archaeology and Ethnography of Western Siberia. Member of the Association of Visual Anthropologists.

Yelena Nemirovskaya

Miss Nemirovskaya is an architect, an art historian and has a candidate’s degree in philosophy sciences. She is the founder and director of the Moscow School of Political Studies. She was made an OBE for services to UK-Russian relations.

Gennadiy Ruksha

Mr. Ruksha is Minister of Culture for Krasnoyarsk District, an honoured cultural worker of the Russian Federation, and a senator of the International Organisation of Folk Art at UNESCO. He holds a Candidate degree in educational sciences, and is a professor in the Department of Advertising and Social and Cultural Activity at the Humanities Institute in the Siberian Federal University. He is the author of numerous works on the theory and practice of cultural activity.

Igor Stepanenko

Mr. Stepanenko is a historian and head of the department for national and district priority projects at the Government of Krasnoyarsk District. He is an organiser of youth archaeology teams. He was decorated with the Order for Services to the Fatherland II class, and other departmental awards.

Vladislav Tolstov

Mr. Tolstov is deputy CEO for TV and radio broadcasting at Severniy Gorod (Norilsk) Media Company, and editor-in-chief. He is a journalist, political commentator, and a presenter of analytical programmes. Several times he has won regional competitions for professional excellence, and he is a member of the Union of Journalists. Author of Days and Nights of Copper, and Norilsk Chronicles.

Teodor Shanin

Mr. Shanin is Professor of Sociology in the University of Manchester (Great Britain), and President of the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences. He is the founder of Western Peasantology, and the author of “Peasants and Peasant Society”. Areas of research: methodology of the social sciences, historical sociology, sociology of knowledge, social economics and political science. He has conducted research in Iran, India, Mexico, Tanzania, Hungary, Russia and the USA. He is the founder and director of the programme: Renewal of Education in the Humanities in Russia, and the International Foundation: Cultural Initiatives.

Alexey Kleshko

Mr. Kleshko is deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnoyarsk Region, chairman of the Commitee on State Construction, Local Government and Civil Society Institutions, member of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Region, president of the Victor Petrovich Astafyev Foundation.
