Competitions

The main form of support which the Foundation provides is via competitive grants. As a result of a competitive selection the winners receive financial support to implement their project ideas.

The Foundation:

• Distributes information about the category of open competitions, and about their priorities and terms and conditions;
• Organizes open communication, allowing participants to submit their applications, with the necessary documents attached, by the deadlines announced;
• Collects and organizes the applications;
• Arranges for their expert assessment;
• Announces the results by the date announced.

The Alexander Herzen Junior Visiting Fellowships

The Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation and the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM), Vienna/Austria, jointly announce a Call for Applications for the Alexander Herzen Fellowships 2012-2013.


Internship for young theatre directors

The Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation and the International Chekhov Theatre Festival have announced the start of a new internship program for young theatre directors. The Internship will take place during the International Chekhov Theatre Festival dedicated to the 150th Anniversary of the great writer’s birth.

Competition in cultural journalism

To the end of November materials are being accepted for the competition in cultural journalism. Consideration will be given to submissions by an author or group of authors of articles (in printed and electronic media), and TV and radio programmes and reporting which were published or broadcast from 1 December 2009 to 30 November 2010. Each winner will receive a prize of 30 000 rubles.

Professional Mobility

This competition is for specialists in education, culture and the arts, and lecturers and researchers in the humanities to obtain travel grants. The grants are intended for participation at conferences and seminars, to undertake brief periods of research in academic and cultural institutions both in Russia and abroad in order to deepen and expand professional knowledge.
